 Seto Mulyadi

Seto Mulyadi, or who is familiarly called Kak Seto was born in Klaten on August 28, 1951. Since childhood, he was known as a stubborn and unable to keep quiet. He has also fallen several times until he experienced phobias, but he always trains himself so that this phobia goes away by doing extreme activities such as parkour. Kak Seto completed his undergraduate education at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Indonesia in 1981, Masters Education in Psychology at the University of Indonesia Postgraduate Program in 1989, and earned a Doctorate in Psychology at the University of Indonesia Postgraduate Program in 1993.


Becoming Pak Kasur's assistant was the job of a father of four children at that time which was then continued by filling in the Kindergarten Ria event with Henny Purwonegoro. There, Kak Seto told stories, participated in learning events while singing, and played magic with the children. He combined the knowledge he got from Pak Kasur with the knowledge he had, namely the magic techniques he had learned since he was in elementary school. Meanwhile, the knowledge of storytelling is obtained through learning and based on experience.

Being part of the children is required to always be creative, balance creative thoughts and full of imagination. It was then that the character Si Komo was created by Kak Seto. In the form of a Si Komo doll and a song that was created, the character of Si Komo strengthened and became widely known. The event was much awaited and made his name even more famous, his economic condition was improving. This success then led Kak Seto to buy several awards such as The Outstanding Young Person of the World, Amsterdam; category Contribution to World Peace, from Jaycess International in 1987. He also founded the Mutiara Indonesia Foundation and the Nakula Sadewa Foundation. In 1998, he served as Chairman of the National Commission for Child Protection. His love for children also led him to share stories through the books he wrote, My Son, Friends, and My Teacher.




In 2007, Kak Seto founded an alternative school called Homeschooling Kak Seto. HSKS as its abbreviation is an alternative educational institution that is one of the educational solutions for Indonesian children both at home and abroad. In accordance with the vision, which is to provide educational programs for children to have strong skills, life skills, and character as potential future leaders of the nation. Homeschooling Kak Seto continuously strives to improve the quality standards of learning so that the learning process is fun, provides the latest learning materials, and provides tutors with professional knowledge and experience.
