Asking and Giving Opinion


Asking and Giving Opinion is an expression used to ask, answer or respond to an opinion. In Opinion, usually there are several verbs that are used, among others, believe (percaya), reckon (memperhitungkan), think (pikir), doubt (meragukan), assume (asumsi), agree (setuju), or do not agree ( tidak setuju).

Agreeing dan Disagreeing Opinion Example

Every opinion or opinion expressed by someone, of course there are those who approve it and some who do not approve of it. In English it is called Agreeing and Disagreeing Opinion. The following are some examples of disclosures:

Agreeing with an Opinion (Menyetujui Pendapat)

• Of course.
• This is absolutely right.
• I agree with this opinion.
• I agree with your Opinion.
• That’s a good point.
• I think so too.
• I couldn’t agree more.
• I agree with what you are saying.

Disagreeing with an Opinion (Menolak/Tidak Menyetujui Pendapat)

• I am sorry, I don’t agree with you.
• I can’t say I agree with this, and here’s why…..
• I do not believe that.
• By this I mean…..
• I disagree with you.
• I think you are wrong.
• That’s not the same thing at all.
• I am not sure I agree with you.

Example Diolog Asking and Giving Opinion:

Bagas: Hi Ryzen?
Ryzen: Hi Bagas?
Ryzen: Have you heard about violance in Senior High School Taruna Gorontalo?
Bagas: Yes, I got information on television last night.
Ryzen: What is your comment?
Bagas: My comment is the senior is very brutal.
Ryzen: I think so, I hope next time there is no incident about it again and no more seniority again.
